Merilyn, a 3 year old German Shepherd/Chow Mix (picture attached), was involved in a tragic accident a few months ago with a lawn mower, and needs your help to pay his vet bills!
Initially the costs for surgery to save his leg, and ultimately his life, were very high, and the ongoing care continues with costs every couple of weeks until he regains his health. The damage was extensive: he severed his sciatic nerve & Achilles tendon, and shattered the bone in his foot. They fused the severed nerve and tendon, but he has no use of the foot since the bone was shattered.
We are glad to report that he is responding beautifully to treatment, and although a complete recovery is highly unlikely, the vet insures us that he will be able to get around and be a loving pet for many, many years to come.
However, there is still a balance and more expenses as the next few months unfold. "Mom" and "Dad" would appreciate any help you could give them towards Merilyn’s recovery.
I know it's been a while since I have posted here life is busy getting my gardens under way and not much is happening ... getting ready for fare andthat is always fun hope everyone is having a good summer..
I don't post here much and I have been busy more so then usual I have been trying to help friends place Dog's and Cat's in temporary and forever homes and it is not always easy. The conditions or reasons that these fur people need others to love and care for them.
It makes me ill that so many people that I have had to deal with as of late would rather have them put down rather then allow them to live with people that care about them it also angers me that thses people do not think that they are worth living. I have been burning the candle at both ends and even tho there is some hope there it is still sad to see these rescue fur people that are in need I go home and hug my fur people all the time and just cry if it was a human they would not treat them this way .. I need time for myself and I am glad the weekend will be a busy one for me.
